Jeffery Burds named Military Child of the Year

Jeffery Burds, a senior at Lejeune High School was recently named the 2016 Military Child of the Year for the U.S. Navy. He is the son of Master Chief Joseph Burds and the late Debra Rae Burds. He will receive $10,000 and will be flown with a parent or guardian to Washington, D.C., for a special recognition gala in April.
