Military families bring tourist dollars to the area when they come to visit family members, stay in local hotels, shop in Onslow County and eat in the restaurants. For others, the main attraction is the beach. Although peak tourism season on Onslow’s coastline is during the summer, visitors are also known to come during the off season as well.
